Chinese New Year comes to Horsley Playgroup

The year of the Rooster arrived this week at Playgroup, with a focus on farms, food and festivities: the male hen theme lent itself to the story of 'Rosie's walk' and some small world farm play, while blow painting, Chinese writing and gold and red creativity went on elsewhere.

Our usual snack of apple, cheese and biscuit was replaced with Chinese noodles, eaten with chopsticks (Doctor Who fans may have recalled The Ood at this point)!
